In Haïti vindt je de Creoolse keuken, wat een mengeling is van de Franse en de Afrikaanse keuken. Wij Haïtianen zijn heel erg trots op onze traditionele keuken. We houden van ons eigen eten.

Haïtianen vinden het fijn wanneer je bij de kern van het gerecht blijft als je het als een traditioneel gerecht presenteert. Zo is een rijstgerecht bijvoorbeeld niet af zonder saus. Eten we witte rijst vaak met legumes, en hebben we de bannann peze het liefst met een beetje pikliz er op. Ontdek wat dit is in het kookboek. Natuurlijk staat het je helemaal vrij om alles voor jezelf te proberen en het op je eigen manier te doen. Wie weet vind je wel een heel lekkere nieuwe combi!

THE HAITIAN CUISINE

In Haiti you will find Creole cuisine, which is a mixture of French andAfrican cuisine. We Haitians are very proud of our traditional cuisine.We love our own food.

Haitians like it when you stick to the core of the dish when you present it as a traditional dish. For example, a rice dish is not complete without sauce. We often eat white rice with legumes, and we prefer the bannann peze with a bit of pikliz on it. Find out what this is in the cookbook.
